See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Cosy inn, built in 1819, the epicentre of this rural village, and all comers are assured of a friendly greeting. Welcoming features include log fires, oak beams and a capacious dining area, serving a variety of quality food and home-made pies. The breweriana-decorated main bar dispenses an array of ales that changes frequently. It has been a stalwart Guide entry for the past 27 years. Recently started brewing a diverse range of ales on a small scale as the Secret Brewing Company. Web site shows what beers are on and what is in the cellar. Note: there are normally only 2 beers on outside the summer season.
